Dr. Poupak Nikzad has been providing psychological services in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 30 years. She has worked with a variety of individuals across many settings, including clinics, hospitals, university counseling centers, and private practice.
Dr. Nikzad obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 1999 from Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, California. She completed her Internship at the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California, and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Chronic Pain Clinic at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco, California.
Dr. Nikzad has co-authored a book chapter on conducting psychological assessments and has co-written articles on substance abuse assessment. She has performed research on the evaluation and treatment of substance use disorders. Kaiser Permanente Medical Center has recognized her for outstanding patient care.
